Art Gallery

A small selection of all my art pieces, random doodles, and so on; sorted by when I drew them. I'll offer whatever insight I can on the pieces I show here.

This page is in a list format like my blogs, rather than a proper gallery. This is intentional, despite the difficulty in finding specific pieces, as I want it to feel just like any other blog post in a way. I will, however, provide links to the beginning of each year.

A Frutiger Aero-styled drawing of an axolotl in a body of water, with rays of light showering down on it.

Aqua Aero Axolotl

Date: 9 Sep, 2024

One of my favorite art pieces to date. Inspired by the rise of Y2K aesthetics like Frutiger Aero, I wanted to make a piece with a similar look. Lots of shine, bloom, and glows are sort of the signatures of this style, and I think I pulled them off pretty well. The use of water, bubbles, clouds, and lots of blue, are all important to the look as well. The water-filled, plasticy gills are inspired by common Frutiger Aero imagery like the aqua mouse. This is actually my second attempt at this concept; basically just a more well-executed version of a piece from april that is not currently listed here.

A drawing of Luigi doing his Luigi Logic pose from Mario & Luigi Brothership

Luigi Logic

Date: 19 Jun, 2024

A piece I made after seeing a Mario & Luigi Brothership trailer, which revealed the "Luigi Logic" mechanic. Luigi being my favorite character ever, I just knew I had to draw my own take. I haven't been consistent with my way of drawing Luigi (I still haven't figured it out), but I think this is my best attempt so far. I used a lot of soft shading for this one, along with colored outlines, to sorta create my own take on the Dream Team art style.

Waffle in a pink hilly landscape surrounded by bubbles

Bubble Flower Waffle

Date: 2 Sep, 2023

One of my OCs, Waffle, using the bubble flower powerup from Mario Wonder. I drew this after the game was first revealed, alongside the bubble flower itself. I don't really know exactly what I was doing with the lumpy pink-purple background (I think it was an attempt to replicate the pink sky levels from Wonder?). The bubble shading isn't my best either, but it turned out well enough for a quick piece.
