☆ Behind the Site ☆
I started this blog in late 2024, mainly encouraged by the (at the time) recent surge of early Internet nostalgia. As someone who never really got the chance to experience stuff like early forums and blogs, I thought it'd be really fun to try it out and learn web design in the process.
I made the first post here November 11th of 2024, after I had set up this site using a template I had found; Zonelets! Zonelets really is a great tool for anyone looking to create their first blog, since so much is built in! This site still runs on the Zonelets base to this day, though I've of course customized it quite a bit for my purposes.
☆ Behind the Author ☆
For the sake of Internet anonimity, I won't be sharing much about myself here. I just wanted to throw in here that I'm like transfem and stuff idk. It's kinda hard to write an "About the Author" section when you want to stay anonymous on the World Wide Web. Hm. Maybe this section was a bad idea.
☆ The Future of the Site ☆
While I love the consistency and ease of use of Zonelets, there's something about it that has gotten a bit stale. Maybe its just because I've been using it for so long, but who really knows? For a while I've yearned for something more personalized, which I've pushed for plenty, but then I had a revelation.
On March 11th of 2026, I began concepting a new version of this site. One that would be made (almost) completely from scratch! Here's the first basic concept doodle:
This Version 2.0 of the site will be built with future additions in mind; with stuff like the vertical (instead of horizontal) navigation bar allowing me to add new stuff without cluttering (or having to completely reorganize) the site! Additonally, Mini Posts will be featured on the home page. I also want to use more images on tehgretwaffl.neocities.org-Version-2.0 (patent pending) so the site isn't just a bunch of blocks of text.
This is a big undertaking, I know, so this site probably won't be updated for a while. But fear not! I'll keep an archive of this version of the site for future viewing. And trust me, this new layout will be soooo worth it.
